Sales of Chrysler’s cars and trucks rose 11% last month as improved consumer confidence and a strong stock market were expected to help the automotive industry close out the month with best results for April since 2007.

The Auburn Hills automaker’s Ram brand led the way and helped the automaker report its 37th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains.
